Visit the DuBois home in the heart of Lockeland Springs! It’s across from Mama Bread, where you can get a hot coffee and baked treat. Chat with East Nashville authors and learn about their process and books. There will be festive literary talk, hot cider, books for sale, and interactive poetry! Caroline Brooks DuBois is the author of two verse novels–and Ode to a Nobody is set in the backdrop of East Nashville after the 2020 tornados. Her novels have received starred reviews from School Library Journal and are both Bank Street Best Children’s Books of the Year.

Artist Studio type: Jewelry/Visual Artist Studio

Once upon a time in East Nashville, there was a tiny studio filled with joy. Step into the home of Jennie Okon, a native Nashvillian and avid miniaturist, where whimsical jewelry and art come to life. Get a glimpse behind the scenes as you explore the making of the Minilands: tiny sculpted dreamscapes encased in glass, filled with mythical flora, curious creatures, and glimmering crystals. Enjoy light refreshments as you wander through this enchanted world of miniature wonders, fantastical adornments, and celestial-inspired art. Leave with a spark of inspiration, and perhaps a piece of magic to call your own.

Step into the home studio of Nashville artist and activist Meagan Martin—better known as The Flaming Feminist.  This season, her Golden Girls inspired studio is transformed into a cozy, Christmas-ready wonderland. Shop a huge variety of handmade candles, stickers, and merch, perfect for gifting or keeping.

Feeling extra festive?
Come dressed in your Christmas finest—or bring a digital photo—and Meagan will create a custom candle on the spot, made right before your eyes. It’s part art, part magic, and 100% Flaming Feminist.
